NEED A BOOK!!!!!

Ok, so i desperately need to find a new book... I finished inkheart this week, and have yet to obtain any new reading material since. I really want to read the road. Im honestly not even sure who its by. I just hear its great. Supposedly it has a real sick distorted apocalyptic theme to it. I really enjoy that type of book. It's horror in my mind. Its much more scary to me then some grotesque slasher. Book that mess with the mind, along with the common fears of people bewilder me. I love them.. I love how one story can make me think more then any movie or actual occurrence. One powerful, well written book can influence and drive people to new heights. Books can scare people, radiate them, hurt them, and about anything els you could imagine. I guess i just love books.

A little rant

I was not good reading this week at all. I was in the hospital and doctors and stuff so i really didn't do much of anything. I'm still in the middle of Inkheart my Cornelia Funke. So to be honest I'm not really sure what to right about. I'm looking into starting this book called The Road... Its supposed to be really intense and creepy. Strangely enough my social studies teacher turned me onto it. Its funny how you discover things from places you wouldn't think held the answer. Its seldom a math teacher has ever taught me anything powerful or creative. Obviously its not their job, but still, its what in my mind makes math so boring. You cant bend it. There's no sense thinking differently or trying to look at it artistically. Its raw. What is there, is there. There's no analysis or intense thought to it. Sorry for this weeks random rant. Ill try to have read more next week. Thanks for sticking with me though.

Inkheart; A nice little break?

So i've finally finished The Godfather. And now ive turned my focus to reading Inkheart, by Cornila Funke. I've kind of been reading it off an on since the begging of the school year. I know its a bit easy for me, and a tad young. I figure it will just be like a nice easy transition book. I had heard they were making a movie out of it and just had to read it. So far, its good. Dustfinger is still like I remembered him, still sneaky, cowardly, but yet noble at heart. I remember him always being my favorite character when I was originally reading the book. That must have been 6th grade, and back then, it was one of my favorites. I love how the author just came up with a book about books. Its such a crazy thought into todays times of sex, humor, and violence. It takes someone of true talent to write on something that todays reader finds so bland.

The Godfather continued.....and no its still not the movie...

Week 3 and I'm still reading Mario Puzzo's, The Godfather. Its not really going as smooth as i like. Its not that anythings wrong with the book--its still a masterpiece. Its just that I haven't had as much time of focus to devote to the book as necessary. Its partially on me, its not like in the summer where I would have gone out of my way to read it. Now i just read when I can, as much as possible. Thats one thing I really love about books and reading. The stories don't go anywhere. No matter how scarcely you read a certain book, or how long the break between pages is, the story will always remain the same. If you leave a book as Sonny Corleone is being shot, you can return two weeks later and Sonny will still be getting shot. I know this post might not go as in depth as the previous post about The Godfather. Sorry about that, I guess i just didn't know how to go into detail about the scare 120 or so pages i read over the previous week.
